Apple-Discounts.com Contest: Your Apple Imagination

Apple-Discounts.com recently held a contest to stretch the Apple imagination. In other words, what is next for Apple? Maybe some of these will show up someday, but probably not. We just wish they would. Take a look for yourself.

My favorite is:

The Blog Reader

Just ran across this blog called "The Blog Reader" where the authors interview and write about the people behind the blogs. What a really cool idea. And these are some of my regular reads (and soon to be if not already). Take a look...

Pickle Phobia?

This waitress with a pickle phobia went on the Maury Show to overcome her fear. When asked what happens if one of her customers wants a pickle, she replied "Too Bad."

Laredo Pictures Added to cblounge.com; Plus the cblounge.com gets a New Look (Again)!

Hello everyone, greetings from the hub of the world and from the desk of "you don't wanna be here". You know the place, you know the time. Anyways, I have successfully added the pictures from my Laredo/Nuevo Laredo trip to the cblounge. See them here. You regulars will also notice that I have updated the look of the cblounge. What do you think? I really like it and think it is an improvement. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or something like that. See ya on the flip side.

An Interview with Anthony Bourdain

Journalist. Hedonist. Food guru and traveler. Anthony Bourdain has been there and done it, in style. The star of Food Channel's No Reservations tells it like it is about life and his upcoming projects in this interview. The episode of No Reservations he did for Laredo and the Texas/Mexico boarder even assisted my travel companions and I on our recent trip to Nuevo Laredo by highlighting a fabulous Japanese Restaurant/Sushi bar in Laredo, TX. Yes, really great sushi on the Texas/Mexico Boarder. Hard to believe, I know it. But leave it up to Anthony to find it. Read the interview and witness his greatness.

Beluga Whales are Amazing Creatures

Beluga Whales can do it all. Well almost. They have no thumbs so I guess they are something limited, but blowing bubble rings? They got it down. Check it out for yourself.

The Art of Packing Light

This is a great article on packing light and the "art of one carry-on". From experience, taking too much on a trip can be very frustrating and can end up causing some major problems. But then again, there are things you cannot live without. Where is the balance? That is ultimately your call.

Two items I thought were very useful from the list:

  • There’s really no difference between packing for a week and packing for a month or longer…

  • If you think something might come in handy, leave it at home. If you know you can’t get along without it, bring it…

Happy travels!

Hawking Says Humans Must Go Into Space

Reported in Slashdot:

neutralino writes "The Associated Press reports that astrophysicist Stephen Hawking wants humans to establish colonies in space in order to ensure the survival of the human race. At a news conference in Hong Kong, Hawking said that 'It is important for the human race to spread out into space for the survival of the species. Life on Earth is at the ever-increasing risk of being wiped out by a disaster, such as sudden global warming, nuclear war, a genetically engineered virus or other dangers we have not yet thought of.'"

I am back!

Hola! My sincerest regrets for the late/delayed "check in" since my return from Mexico. You could even say my "check in" is overdue. But I am back! It was a very eventful weekend down in olde Mexico! So eventful, it has taken all week to recover! (Not to mention coming back to a crazy week at work, but that is a another subject which will not be addressed here. Yucky!) Me and my travel companions Bobby and Meghan had a great time with some shopping, beer drinking, fantastic eating and lots of "relaxing". I captured some great pictures of our destination - here are my traveling compadres.

I will be posting the rest of my pictures to my web site (www.cblounge.com) shortly, after I redo/revamp my web site. This is becuase the new version of RapidWeaver was released last week and there are many new features to explore. Please stay tuned!

Off to Mexico...

Greetings readers, I am off to Mexico (Nuevo Laredo) for the weekend, so there will not be any updates for the weekend (both this blog as well as my other blog - mac*n*cheese & applesauce). I will update you on my trip next week (with pictures). Take care, have a great weekend.
